Spoke to soon

Well, I spoke to soon. I do have gestational diabetes. Yesterday,I had a message on my machine from my doctor. I failed my glucose tolerance tests. Now I have to test my blood sugar at home 4 times a day. I aslo have to see a nutritionist and change my diet. My doctor is confident with diet and monitoring I can keep it under controll. It just stinks with Christmas just around the corner, all the goodies I'll have to try and stay away from. This will truely test my will power. Poor Pete he'll have to suffer through it with me. And we are both big sugar lovers. I only have 10 weeks to go and I have my eye on the prize, a healthy baby and me!!

Aww...I am sorry to hear that you have to go through diabetes. I hope that you don't have to change too much. Maybe it will make you feel better and you can catch the tail end of the 2nd trimester energy rush. ;)

You look so beautiful! You picked a wonderful gown for the ball. I sure miss you a ton! Give my best to the kids.

Love,
Neva

Hang in there, Tommye. I had gestational diabetes with Theo and was diagnosed 2 days before my birthday. No cake... Thanksgiving sucked... and Christmas was unbearable but in the end, you will have your beautiful baby and that makes it all worth it. Even pricking my finger got easier. UH OH... You might be having a THEO!

Love,
Michelle
